eh, happy national daywhich of course, means nothing, unless you're taking advantage of special ntl day discounts or you're spending the day by going to all the ntl museums and the istana for free (:
interesting things to read (which are not very content-heavy or too intellectual la, just interesting):
1.
English drifts from its roots2.
The new Bollywood!3.
Anti-US feelings4.
Lily Allen!since the juniors haven't updated on mayors, I shall. It was a good experience, and the team did what they could so props to their enthusiasm and willingness to learn. you guys have improved nicely over the months! we shall soon throw a nice party. A gathering of all the debaters (that's my red badge, lynn-angie-lari-christine green badge, weilin-mari-becks-vinca blue badge, xiang-karmen grey, debs-hazel-sarah red, and current yellow badge people. wah that's gonna be a lot). also, a farewell for me :'(
eh i was thinking, someone should use the Bollywood article as an inspiration for a Speaker's corner speech. let's be interesting this year! let's not have dull issues abt uniforms or peer pressure or respecting our elders or all-roundedness (ie the sort of issues that the eng dept might expect us to voice). haha. let's use Bollywood and greenpeace and uh nuclear weapons and the world cup as inspirations for interesting topics.
